Information for Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond
Wow - another successful event! We had such a fantastic time educating expectant parents about optimising their ‘Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond’ over the weekend.
Our expert speakers delivered so much helpful information, however to summarise, the key take home messages from the day were:
Self-care is so important.
The aim of chiropractic care during pregnancy is to create a balanced pelvis for a more ideal birth.
The story you tell yourself about birth counts.
Girls are strong!
Looking after you is looking after baby.
Pick your provider as carefully as you’d pick your wedding dress.
Continuity of care by a known midwife has numerous proven benefits.
It’s possible to sleep comfortably during pregnancy with a few tweaks. When we focus on a supportive sleep position and getting quality, rather than quantity, chuncks of sleep during the night it takes the pressure off the body and the expectation that we should still be aiming for a solid eight hours sleep.
IT IS SAFE to exercise during your pregnancy IN FACT its recommended for health of you and baby.
Here's what our mums and dads had to say:
✅ "Interesting to learn about different services to access in pregnancy for support.”
✅ “A good one stop shop for information.”
✅ “Please keep them coming.”
